I'm incredibly picky about what bikes I like and the Monroe 250 passed my tests. Plus, it's more affordable compared to others that start at $2,000. As I rode it, I kept thinking that it'd be a great alternative for people who are sedentary but are trying to get into exercising — it's a great transition bike. It's also an ideal bike for commuters thanks to its different assistance gears. The Schwinn Monroe 250 gets its 250 moniker from how many watts the hub drive puts out. I’m also not impressed with the Microshift shifters and derailleur. They’re okay, and I’m assuming they were chosen due to supply issues. Both models have mechanical disc brakes, 180mm front/160 mm rear, which is okay. Youtube and Facebook groups are a great resource to get answers.
